It was originally supposed to be an ‘extension’ to RWY by adding certain new components to existing RWY track infrastructure, but in the end it became far larger.Īround February 2021, I scrapped this idea and decided to develop a brand-new and complete network package, branded as ‘Railway 2’ (RWY2). In late 2020, I re-examined these older prototypes and decided to investigate the possibilities of an overhaul. This meant that the features I tested and deemed useful ended up in RWY networks, rather than being a part of any larger expansion. In late 2019, I started to work with prototypes and proofs-of-concept which used RWY as a base, as remaking an entire network package seemed too much work.
